Students whose books are provided by Walden, will receive an email notification when their eBooks are available for download. If you no longer have the email with download instructions, but your eBook was ordered within the last 12 months, you can download it directly from MBS Direct by visiting MBS Direct. You will be prompted to login to your account with your MBS Direct Username and Password.
Your eBook is now associated to your VitalSource account and you may begin using your eBook. We strongly encourage downloading all of your eBooks onto at least one device for long-term access lasting the duration of your academic program. Online access through the site, mbsdirect.vitalsource.com expires after 365 days, but access to downloaded eBooks typically does not expire. You may download the VitalSource bookshelf app at
When you first click on a new VitalSource course textbook, you are granted temporary access for about 2 weeks- this covers the add/drop period at the beginning of the term. To make sure you have the long-term access to the book, you need to click on the link in your course shell during the third week of the term.
If you'd like to read the downloaded e-book on your mobile device, please access it on your mobile device then download it (ie. not download on your laptop and transfer to mobile device).
Downloaded or viewed online e-textbooks will automatically not be accessible after loan period. There is no action needed on your part, and no overdue fines to worry about.

Select print from the dropdown. The print box will open. This page will tell you how many pages you can download and print. You can see from the example below, this book allows up to 90 pages to be printed but has a limit of 5 pages per loan or session. Enter your page numbers and select print.
